Published in Le Petit Atlas Maritime, the map provides a detailed and accurate representation of this historically significant coastal region in West Africa.

Cartographer/Mapmaker: Jacques Nicolas Bellin (1703 – 1772), a Royal Hydrographer, engineer of the French Navy, and member of the Royal Society. Bellin was renowned for his precision in mapping coastal areas and maritime routes, making his works essential to mariners and explorers of the 18th century.

Origin: Published in Le Petit Atlas Maritime Recueil De Cartes et Plans Des Quatre Parties Du Monde in 1764.
