Cartographer: Gilles Robert de Vaugondy, also known as Le Sieur or Monsieur Robert, was a prominent French cartographer who lived in the 18th century.

Vaugondy was a member of a notable family of cartographers and is best known for his work in cartography and mapmaking. He produced and published numerous maps and atlases, which were highly regarded for their accuracy and quality.
