Title: A Map Of The River Gambra From Eropina To Barrakunda.

Rare antique Africa map in hand coloring.
Thomas Astley; from the Fouta Djallon, the river runs northwest into the Tambacounda Region of Senegal, where it flows through the Parc National du Niokolo Koba, then is joined by the Nieri Ko and Koulountou before entering The Gambia at Fatoto.

Map Maker: Thomas Kitchin.
Kitchin was an English engraver and map-maker, who became hydrographer to the king. He married Sarah Bowen, daughter of Emanuel Bowen.
