Old map of the coast of Caspian Sea, marked by a single line that points to Abulfeda (green) by two lines that points to Jean Struys (green blue) by three lines of dots that’s points to Delisle (blue) and to Czariene marked in black. In this map the contours of the Caspian Sea are combined with the name of the ancient and modern geographers who had different opinions about the shape.
Cartographer/ Mapmaker: Robert De Vaugondy Gilles Robert de Vaugondy (1688–1766), also known as Le Sieur or Monsieur Robert, and his son, Didier Robert de Vaugondy (c.1723–1786), were leading cartographers in France during the 18th century.
