This 18th century map is copperplate engraved with hand-coloring and derived from Atlas Nouveau Portatif à l'usage des militaires... by Le Rouge.

The Maluku Islands (also known as the Moluccas, Moluccan Islands, the Spice Islands) are an archipelago that is part of Indonesia, and part of the larger Maritime Southeast Asia region.

Origin: Atlas Nouveau Portatif à l'usage des militaires et du voyageur.

Cartographer mapmaker: George Louis Le Rouge (1740-1779)
Publisher, and engineer for the King of France.
