Nicolas Sanson (20 December 1600 – 7 July 1667) was a French cartographer, termed by some the creator of French geography, in which he's been called the "father of French cartography.

Inset maps of Palestine and a town plan of Jerusalem (Hierusalem).

The map was first published in Paris 1699 by Nicolas Sanson itself.

This edition is issued by P. Mortier in Amsterdam from the same plate with some modification in publishers address.
