Franz Kafka is almost the only author whose stories C.O. Banning is illustrated.
The illustrations were made without an external order, first as a pen drawing on paper, then later reversed on a litho stone on large paper.

In the seventies, evolved from a collaboration with the Berlin Gallery, AGO and sells especially with the New Munich gallery.
Predominantly made the illustrations as single sheets of stories.
Except for the change was to "process" is a series of 4 sheets drawn.
