The map showing Château D'Isenbourg located in the heart of the vineyards on the Alsace wine route and the The Église Notre-Dame de l'Assomption cathedral in the centre of Rouffach.

The woodblock is outstretched by the monogramist C.S. (pictured with chisel) is made in 1548 by the printmaker Hans Rudolf Manuel Deutsch (RMD).

Author: Sebastian Munster a German writer, historicus, mapmaker, cartographer, cosmographer born in Ingelheim Germany.
Münster completed his studies at the Universität Tübingen in 1518 led by Johannes Stöffler.

Publisher: Heinrich Petri (1508-24.4.1579) Basel.
Working with his stepfather Sebastian Münster, Heinrich Peteri became one of the most important Hebraica and map printers of his time.
