Cartographer: Sebastian Munster (1488-1552) Sebastian worked as a lecturer at the University of the Franciscan Order in Tübingen, where he studied astrology to the famous astronomer Johannes Stöffler. in addition to his main work, the Cosmographia, Sebastian Munster wrote some very extensive work in the field of Hebrew studies, natural science, geography, and theology.
Publisher Henricus Petrus (1508–1579) and his son Sebastian Henric Petri (1546, Basel – 1627, Basel) headed the printer shop of Basel (Basilea in Latin), called Officina Henricpetrina.
