Description: Old engraving with plan of the hotel des Invalides, a Parisian monument whose construction was ordered in 1670 by Louis XIV, and designed by Liberal Bruand and Jules Hardouin-Mansart.
It’s one of the most important masterpieces of French classical architecture.

Cartographer/Publisher: Nicolas de Fer was a French cartographer and geographer.
He also was an engraver and publisher.
His business flourished, producing town plans, atlases, wall maps, and sheet maps.
