Description: Antique Battle plan of the fortified town Weissenburg during the 30 years between the Protestant and Catholic states. 
The map shows the military positions of the Swedish army, is copperplate engraved with hand coloring, a decorative title cartouche and an explanation box at lower right.

Mapmaker: Matthäus Merian a Swiss-born engraver who worked in Frankfurt Germany.
