Description: This antique print depicts the Ruins of Kalbassin, located near the ruins of Sempalat in Siberia, Russia. Created during the 17th-18th century voyages to Siberia, this historical print offers a glimpse into the remote and ancient structures of the region.

Cartographer/Mapmaker: Jacques Nicolas Bellin (1703 – 1772) was a prominent French cartographer and hydrographer who served as the official geographer to the French navy. Bellin was one of the most important and prolific cartographers of the 18th century, renowned for his accuracy and attention to detail. He created numerous maps and charts used by mariners and explorers, incorporating the latest geographic knowledge and scientific advancements. His works include maps of the French colonies in North America and the coasts of China and Japan. Bellin also authored several books on cartography and navigation, such as Hydrographie Françoise and Petit Atlas Maritime.
