Published In: Atlas Universel, Par M. Robert Geographe ordinaire du Roy
Map maker: Gilles Robert de Vaugondy (1688–1766), also known as Le Sieur or Monsieur Robert, and his son, Didier Robert de Vaugondy (c.1723–1786), were leading cartographers in France during the 18th century.

The Atlas Universel was Robert de Vaugondy's principal atlas first published in 1752, (map signed 1750) soon after he had set up in business in Paris.

Gilles and Didier Robert de Vaugondy, a father and son team, produced their atlases, globes and maps together.
In most cases they did not use their first name or initial when signing their maps, so it can be unclear who made a given map.
