Cartographer: Adrien-Hubert Brué 1786-1832 Between the years 1810 and 1830, Brué was one of the most important representatives of French cartography . His cards are characterized by high accuracy. Brue undertook various voyages as a ship's boy when he was twelve. At the age of 15, he took part in the expedition of Nicolas Baudin (1800-1803) to Australia on board the Le Naturaliste under Louis de Freycinet, which had the task to survey the local coast.
