The Austrian Empire map of Central European The Empire was an multinational great power from 1804 to 1867, created by proclamation out of the realms of the Habsburgs.
Origin: Meyers Konversations-Lexikon published by the Bibliographic Institute Germany 1902–08. The company was founded in 1826 by Joseph Meyer (1796-1856) as a publishing bookstore in Gotha and later moved to Hildburghausen. Under the direction of his son Herrmann Julius Meyer, the company moved to Leipzig in 1874.
